Overview

A future where machines sense, interact with, learn from, and adapt to their environment with the same ease as living creatures, will greatly improve consumer products, healthcare, security, manufacturing, entertainment and telecommunications.

As machines acquire sensory systems and begin perceiving the world around them, how do we endow them with autonomous intelligent behavior:

  • transform broadly specified goals into actions and activities;
  • learn from experience;
  • discover what is interesting and potentially useful in its environment; and
  • communicate meaningfully with people?

Caltech’s NSF Center for Neuromorphic Systems Engineering has made this its mission for the last 10 years and the next. We have organized a 2-day symposium with talks by CNSE alumni & leading experts from around the world (USA, Canada, Switzerland, Egypt). CNSE invites you to participate in this event, open for the public.
